8 members of the Kiwanis Club of Grand Falls-Windsor cooked up pancakes for for the 270 children today for Shrove Tuesday or also know as Pancake Tuesday. We had a fun time doing this and a lot of laughter went along with the cooking.

On May 5, Geoff Ordenorff came in to talk to the Kiwanis members about how much fun it is to raft the Badger Chute. He showed us a slideshow of pictures of the fun you can rafting the river evening sunset tour starting at 5pm. With a discount for 16 if in a group. Maybe this could be a Kiwanis gathering in the future. He was thanked by Kiwanian Elmo Hewlett.
On May 7, 10 members of our Grand Falls-Windsor Kiwanis Club attended Volunteers Appreciation Night at Sprucewood Academy. It was a night filled with music, fun and food. There are 23 Kiwanis members that helps out at the school each month, with 5 members every Tuesday helping serve breakfast to the kids of the school. We're proud to donate a $1000 each year from the Kiwanis Club to help run the program.
